Heavyweight brawler Tyson Fury has been told he can’t have lights on the roof of his new mansion in case a plane lands on his planned new £2m gaff.
And he’s also been banned from installing solar panels on top of the Grand Designs-style pad because it is just yards from the runway at Manchester Airport and the glass could dazzle pilots.
Bosses from the airport’s safety office say roof lights could confuse pilots as they prepare to land at the busy international hub.

The former champ – who currently lives in Morecambe, Lancs, has also been told that builders cannot create excessive dust or light fires during the construction of the new home – which means the demolition of an existing property on the site – and all trees must be kept under 12 metres.
Tyson has applied to East Cheshire District Council to build a six-bed house complete with a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and cinema in Cheshire’s “Golden Triangle”, popular with celebs and football stars.
But Ross Franklin from Manchester Airport said in a report to planners: “No lighting directly beneath the roof lights that will emit light upwards – only downward facing ambient lighting to spill from the roof lights automatic blinds to be fitted that close at dusk.
“In the interests of aviation safety, measures to minimise and manage the creation of dust and smoke should be implemented for the full duration of all works.”
Previously, Fury’s plans found trouble after bats were found roosting in a loft and then he was told birds flocking to his pond or fruit trees may also be a hazard to nearby jets.
So he ditched the application last year to demolish the original building, and resubmitted plans to extend it, but then had a change of heart.
Now he wants to stick with the first plan of getting rid of the old six-bed property to replace it with a fancy new home. Planners will decide on the application in the coming weeks.
