Zoe Ball has sparked concern after confirming she would miss another week of her BBC radio show.
Fans of the BBC presenter have issued a plea to Zoe to return to her Radio 2 show after she had missed several weeks of hosting her show. After disappearing from the programme, BBC bosses confirmed her Radio colleague Scott Mills will continue standing in for the star.
Schedules for this week show that Scott, who previously hosted his own show on Radio 1, would be taking to the mic instead of Zoe from Monday to Friday. To make up for Scott’s absence from his own show, DJ Spoony and OJ Borg will be filling for him, as he is asked to present the breakfast show.

It has been five weeks since Zoe was last able to present her own show, having been on the airwaves last on August 8. Since then, Gaby Roslin and Scott Mills have filled in for the star, though the reasons for where Zoe has gone continue to be kept under wraps.
Speaking to the Mirror newspaper, a spokesperson for the BBC said the presenter will be back on the mic later this month, but did not give details on when she would be back. They also did not confirm the reasons for why Zoe has taken time off from the show.
Now, after five weeks of absence, fans are now concerned for the host and are asking for answers to calm their worries. BBC Radio’s social media platforms have been inundated with messages of love and support for the host, with many pleading for an update on the presenter.
One fan penned: “What has happened to Zoe Ball? She’s been off the Radio for 5 weeks in total – no mention of her whatsoever the last few weeks – I hope she’s ok.”
A second user added a simple message, writing: “I hope Zoe Ball is okay.” This is not the first time Zoe has taken an extended break from her show this year, after she suffered a series of losses and health issues.
In April, the presenter’s mum Zoe passed away after being diagnosed with cancer, before being rushed to hospital for emergency dental surgery, which severely impacted her health. Her mum’s death left Zoe bereft, as she struggled to accept her beloved mum had died.
Scott was the first to take over for Zoe as listeners tuned into Radio 2 on August 12. Addressing the audience, Scott offered some words of comfort before giving a message of love to the regular DJ.
“If you set your alarm every morning to go off at 6:30am and normally Zoe comes on, please do not freak out, you have not overslept,” he told listeners. “If you’ve just put us on this morning, it’s Scott Mills in for Zoe for the next few weeks. I’m sending you all my love Zo’, as are the team.”
Sources working at the BBC said have also been left confused as to where the presenter has disappeared. An insider told MailOnline that “nobody knows” what happened to her, but added: “We hope everything is okay, Zoe is so loved at the BBC so to not have her around ally noticeable.”
