Britain’s Got Talent’s Amanda Holden was introduced to her lookalike in the Heart Breakfast studio by her co-host Jamie Theakston and she couldn’t resist a hilarious dig at her husband
Amanda Holden took a cheeky swipe at her husband when she met her lookalike in the studio.
Amanda tied the knot with record producer Chris, 52, in 2008. The pair have been happily married ever since and share their two daughters, Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13.
Amanda occasionally posts snaps of Chris and has told fans she married her “best friend”. However, she joked about kicking him out the house on Monday (July 14) when she met her doppelganger in the Heart Breakfast studio.
She was introduced to her ultimate “lookalike”, Eve Bannerman, by co-host Jamie Theakston. Jamie told Amanda that Eve is the “number one Amanda Holden lookalike” in the UK, but later revealed it was her first booking.
Amanda sat with her eyes closed and couldn’t believe it when she found out who was sat in the studio with her – replying: “No!”. Jamie then told the TV presenter: “Open your eyes. Amanda, meet your doppelgänger.”
Amanda and the guest couldn’t help laughing, with Amanda joking: “At least she doesn’t laugh like me!” Jamie couldn’t believe how much they looked alike, saying: “It’s essentially like putting a mirror in the studio.”
Amanda admitted the similarities were “very odd” and joked she “needs” two of herself due to her “busy” schedule. She said: “Well, it is very odd. Yeah, it is very odd.
“I’ve always said I need two of me. I’m ever so busy.” She then joked she’d send her off with husband Chris, adding: “I might send you off for the weekend with my husband.”
Co-host Jamie replied: “Wow! Have you thought this through?” He asked if Eve has been booked as a lookalike of former This Morning presenter Amanda, with the guest saying she hadn’t.
He asked: “Have you had any bookings as an Amanda Holden lookalike?” Eve replied: “No, this is the first.” Jamie then clarified the situation by asking: “This is the first one?” The guest on Heart Breakfast said: “Yes, this is the first.”
Amanda said she felt “flattered” by the comparison to Eve. She told her “Well, I’m ever so flattered because you’re definitely younger than me. So, I will take that.” Amanda added: “Definitely.”
Fans were loving the clip on social media, with one writing: “Listening to this was hilarious.”
Not everyone saw the likeness as one wrote: “Looks nothing like her.” Another asked: “Sorry but I don’t see it?”
But many fans did, and one wrote “I think it looks a lot like her.” Another said: “They do look alike a lot.”
