Brooklyn Beckham family ‘feud’ – Father’s Day ‘snub’, ‘sorry’ post and Nicola vow

Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have reportedly fallen out with the Beckhams, and several social media posts seem to shed light on this rumoured rift

It seems the rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his family isn’t over.

The reported Beckham feud has been going on for weeks. It was fuelled back in April, when Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz failed to attend his famous dad David’s 50th birthday party in London.

It’s claimed Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, have fallen out with the rest of the Beckhams. Brooklyn, who is currently living across the pond, seemed to side with wife Nicola when he declared he would “always choose” her in a post on Instagram.

And in the last few days, it would appear relations are still strained as Brooklyn didn’t post about dad David on Father’s Day. We cannot be sure what’s gone on behind closed doors, but there are several social media posts from the Beckham clan that may help us understand this apparent fallout.

Father’s Day ‘snub’

Brooklyn failed to post about Sir David on Father’s Day this weekend. The Beckhams are known for posting heartfelt tributes to one another on birthdays and other occasions, so Brooklyn’s silence here could speak volumes.

His younger brothers Romeo and Cruz posted about the former England ace. Cruz posted a photo of himself relaxing in the sun with David, captioning the post: ” Happy Father’s Day, I love you x.”

Romeo, meanwhile, shared two photos of him and his father. One was a childhood picture with David, which he simply captioned: “love you.”

He also told Brooklyn that he loves him(Image: Instagram/davidbeckham)

However, David sent his love to all three of his boys – including Brooklyn – and daughter Harper on Sunday (June 15). He wrote: “My most important and favourite job in life is being a dad… I’m so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what…

“Mummy thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father there is no greater gift in life than making me a dad… Happy Father’s Day… I love you kiddies more than you could imagine.”

He also sent a direct message to Brooklyn, sharing a sweet pic of him and Brooklyn on his Instagram Stories. He captioned the snap: “Love you @brooklynpeltzbeckham”

He posted a pic with each of his other kids, writing in separate posts: “Love you mate @romeobeckham”, “Love you Cruzie @cruzbackham” and “Love you pretty lady #HarperSeven”.

Brooklyn’s mum Victoria also acknowleged Brooklyn in her Father’s Day post, which included a video of the family hanging out on the sofa. She tagged her eldest in the post, captioned: “Happy Father’s Day to the best daddy there is! You always lead with love and our four beautiful children are a reflection of that. We all love you so so much!! @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven xxx”

Brooklyn’s wife Nicola posted about her own dad, Nelson, on Father’s Day – but didn’t say anything about her father-in-law. She wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to the greatest dad in the world I am so lucky to be your daughter I love you more than you will ever know. Thank you for always being my constant support I love you beyond words. Happy Father’s Day dad.”

Sir David’s knighthood

David Beckham has received a knighthood from King Charles

David has been honoured with a knighthood in the King’s Birthday Honours List for his services to sport and charity, meaning he can use the title of Sir, while Victoria becomes a Lady. While he may have congratulated his dad in private, Brooklyn refrained from posting anything about the achievement online.

Romeo posted a photo of him and the sports star and said: “So proud of you.” Cruz shared his own post, writing: “I’m so proud dad I love you. Sir David Beckham. Has a nice ring to it.”

David’s wife Victoria gushed over the footy legend in a post of her own. She wrote: “You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official. Sir @davidbeckham! ! ! What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most – your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family – has never wavered.

“The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx”

Insiders claimed David hadn’t told Brooklyn about the honour and that he found out through the media. A source told Page Six: “Brooklyn is so happy for his dad as he knows it was something important to him, but there was no communication and no one from the family reached out.

Sources close to David and Victoria said Brooklyn has not been in contact with his family.

Brooklyn ‘chooses’ Nicola

Romeo declared he would “always choose” Nicola amid rumours of a rift between them and his family(Image: INSTAGRAM)

Last month, Brooklyn shared a video showing him riding a red motorbike down the streets of Los Angeles – Nicola was sat behind Brooklyn with her arms wrapped around his neck.

He seemed to reference the reported rift with his family in the caption of the post, writing: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.” Nicola replied in her own post: “I’ve always got you baby.”

Cruz responds

Cruz took to Instagram to share his love for his family

Cruz seemed to respond to Brooklyn’s video with a heartfelt post about family. He shared a family photo that included Brooklyn, which could be interpreted as a sign of an olive branch.

He wrote: “I love my family, I love you guys more than anything, mum and dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we all are to have you in our lives x.”

David’s 50th birthday

Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from his footy legend dad’s 50th birthday dinner in London’s Notting Hill last month. The swanky meal was attended by the likes of Tom Cruise and Gordon Ramsay as well as Victoria and Brooklyn’s siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

It was said David was “heartbroken” that Brooklyn didn’t attend the event and that he and Victoria had hoped he’d change his mind. It’s claimed Brooklyn and Nicola had initially planned on attending David’s birthday celebrations – another source disputed this.

The pair didn’t attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations

After the birthday meal, David and Victoria took to Instagram with a round-up of photos from David’s birthday week. Brooklyn and Nicola weren’t to be seen in any of the photos or mentioned in the post, but Brooklyn’s siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper were tagged.

Victoria and David penned in the caption: “Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all [heart emoji] xx.”

It’s said Brooklyn and Nicole also failed to attend David’s other birthday celebrations at their £10 million Cotswolds home and in France, which saw the Beckham clan go wine tasting at a vineyard before having dinner at David’s favourite Parisian restaurant.

David’s message to Brooklyn

David went on a fishing trip with Romeo and Cruz – and mentioned Brooklyn’s absence from the holiday(Image: Instagram/ @davidbeckham)

David admitted that he’d missed Brooklyn on a recent family camping trip to Scotland. The former England ace whisked his sons away to Scotland and they were seen fishing on a boat and cooking by the fire.

He told followers: “Six months ago I planned a trip with my boys at the start of last week to camp and fish for my 50th was so much fun”. He posted some snaps from the trip, including a selfie with Romeo and Cruz.

In one snap, showing the trio on the side of a boat, David revealed he’d banned the pair from using their phones on the trip. The doting dad couldn’t help but see the funny side of it as he penned: “Last time the boys were allowed to use their phones [laughing emoji] look so happy about it [laughing emoji]”.

But his eldest son wasn’t there and David acknowledged this in the caption, writing: “Fun times in Scotland,” tagging Brooklyn and adding: “You were missed,”

David’s gushes over his kids

Although he may have wished his father a happy birthday in private, Brooklyn didn’t post any birthday tributes to the footy star on social media. However, David still mentioned Brooklyn in a birthday post shared on his social media.

In a heartfelt post full of throwback photos, the football icon said his kids were his ‘biggest accomplishment’ and that wife Victoria and his four children were “the reason I get out of bed each day”.

He wrote: “As I reflect on this Birthday I’m very grateful for many things in my life the teams I’ve played for, my teammates, managers, the fans, MY COUNTRY and being England captain, the children I have met over different charities I work with, my team in my business & the friends I have around me I feel truly blessed. But my biggest accomplishment is and will always be my family.

He continued: “My mum and dad who sacrificed so much for me to live my dream of becoming a footballer, my sisters who had to put up with following their brother around in the freezing cold watching me play football and my amazing nan and grandad… My wife and best friend of 28 years and my beautiful children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz & Harper you are the reason I get out of bed each day.”

Romeo’s cryptic message

It’s claimed there was tension between Brooklyn and his brother Romeo over Romeo’s ex, Kim Turnbull. Brooklyn had a brief romance with Kim in 2016. According to TMZ, Brooklyn gave his family an ultimatum after requesting to celebrate with David in private, rather than attending an event with Kim there.

It was also alleged the chef feels as though his family had chosen his younger brother Romeo over him. Another source disputed this and claimed Brooklyn had sent his dad a text but it “felt like box-ticking”.

Footballer Romeo seems to have publicly thrown his support behind his parents – and potentially hit back at Brooklyn’s post about ‘choosing’ Nicola. He took to Meta with a snap of his forearm, with one tattoo strikingly clear – the inking that read: “1975”.

The piece is a tribute to his dad as it’s the year he was born. It came just hours after Cruz’s post about family.
