Brooklyn Beckham has failed to publicly acknowledge his father David Beckham on Father’s Day, despite the former footballer penning a gushing tribute to his children

David Beckham’s public appeals to his eldest son Brooklyn Beckham seem to have fallen on deaf ears as he failed to acknowledge Father’s Day.

The football legend, 50, has been embroiled in a bitter family dispute with his 26-year-old son and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30. The Beckham family rift deepened when Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations, despite flying to London from Los Angeles.

Since then, Brooklyn appears to be showing his allegiance to his wife following reports he stopped responding to messages from his famous family. Brooklyn did not publicly recognise David’s long-awaited knighthood on Friday and has now overlooked Father’s Day.

For a family who frequently use social media to share heartfelt personal messages, Brooklyn’s silence could speak volumes.

His younger brothers Romeo and Cruz led the tributes to David on the special day. Cruz posted a photo of himself relaxing in the sun with his sports star dad, captioning the post: ” Happy Father’s Day, I love you x.”

Romeo, meanwhile, shared two photos of him and his father. One was a childhood picture with David, which he simply captioned: “love you.”, reports the Mirror.

David also posted a public message to his children, seemingly hinting at the ongoing feud. He wrote: “My most important and favourite job in life is being a dad… I’m so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what…

“Mummy thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father there is no greater gift in life than making me a dad… Happy Father’s Day… I love you kiddies more than you could imagine.”

Throughout the day, David Beckham shared various nostalgic snaps honouring his role as a father, expressing his pride and tagging his children. However, Brooklyn remained noticeably silent on the posts.

While Nicola Peltz paid homage to her dad Nelson with heartfelt throwback photos and a loving caption, she didn’t extend the same Father’s Day regards to her father-in-law.

Nicola penned: “Happy Father’s Day to the greatest dad in the world I am so lucky to be your daughter I love you more than you will ever know. Thank you for always being my constant support I love you beyond words. Happy Father’s Day dad.”

Brooklyn Beckham has recently revealed a tattoo that could be a sign of his familial allegiance. The tattoo, featuring on Brooklyn’s upper back, immortalises a pre-nuptial note from Nicola, age 30, wrote to him before their wedding in April 2022.

The elegant script tattoo reveals: “My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious. I want you to know how deeply loved you are. You have the kindest heart I’ve ever met and hope I never go a day without your love. I think you are so incredible. Just know we can get through it all together if you breathe slow and trust. I love you beyond. Love always, your future wifey.”
