Celebrity Big Brother star Chris Hughes has undergone a wild makeover and is barely recognisable in new snaps that show him embracing a drag makeover from co-star Danny Beard
Chris Hughes has tried out a drag makeover and you’d never know it was him.
Chris and Danny Beard hit it off during their stint in the house and they’ve kept the friendship alive post-show.
They teamed up for an episode of Boys In Beat on the KLOSS Community channel, where drag maestro Danny, 32, worked their magic on Chris, also 32, giving him a full-on glam makeover.
With Danny’s iconic white drag face makeup, the ex-Love Island hunk was transformed as the former RuPaul’s Drag Race star added black contour, black eyeshadow and red lipstick.
The duo also took a trip down memory lane about their CBB days. Chris confessed he was “a barrel of nerves” when he first rocked up on launch night.
“I walked in with all those big names – Mickey Rourke, Trisha Goddard, Chesney Hawkes – and I just thought: ‘What am I doing here?'” reports the Mirror.
But for Danny, the real challenge kicked in after settling into the house. They dished out: “Daley [Thompson] gave me this look when I walked in and I instantly thought he hated me. He made a comment: ‘It’s not all about you,’ and I just sort of went in on myself.”
Chris chimed in: “So that does affect you?” To which Danny nodded. “Yeah, because I don’t ever fully trust straight men,” they spilled.
“That’s something I had to confront in there. But the biggest thing I learned was that if you give people five minutes, just five minutes, you realise you’ve got more in common than you thought.”
Danny then opened up about their experiences growing up queer: “When I was four or five, kids would say I sounded like a girl. That stuck with me and when I realised I was gay, I was so angry. I thought the people who called me gay had made me gay. It took years to untangle all that.”
“I remember telling my mum I didn’t want to be here anymore when I was a kid. I know that’s deep, sorry. But it’s the truth. People don’t realise how those words stick. Even now, people still stare. My boyfriend catches them all the time – lads, full groups of them. I’m very visibly gay, and some people don’t like that.”
