Clarkson’s Farm’s Kaleb fears he’ll be ‘out of a job’ over Jeremy’s new addition

Jeremy Clarkson has a new arrival on the farm that has left his right hand man Kaleb Cooper absolutely fuming and terrified that he will be “out of a job”

Jeremy Clarkson has left his farmhand Kaleb Cooper shaking in his mud-covered boots.

The former Top Gear host has forked out a whopping £300,000 on a robot tractor for Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire, which his Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb fears could potentially make him redundant.

Despite previously snubbing the idea of driverless cars, Jeremy has now taken a shine to a self-operating piece of agricultural machinery. He proudly announced the arrival of his new AgBot T2, an autonomous tractor that he’s hailed as the “coolest machine in the world” despite its eye-watering cost.

This diesel-powered beast is designed to tirelessly toil away in the fields, something human workers can’t quite match reports the Express.

Writing his thoughts in The Sun, Jeremy boasted: “To my enormous delight it can now do in a few hours without mistakes or boredom, what used to take me 30 with lots of both.”

However, not everyone’s buzzing about the futuristic gizmo. His right-hand man Kaleb, 26, isn’t exactly over the moon. “Kaleb hates it,” Jeremy confessed. “He says it’ll put him out of a job.”

Clarkson suggested that the AgBot might actually enhance his contracting business by enabling him to tackle multiple farms simultaneously. Although Kaleb seemed initially receptive, the enthusiasm didn’t last long.

“Simple fact is that he had to stop occasionally, to sleep for instance, and the AgBot didn’t,” Jeremy explained. “He was literally being hounded by a machine that absolutely will not stop.”

Jeremy Clarkson isn’t one to give up easy though, as he’s already plotting the AgBot’s next challenge: precision drilling on its own, which could be breaking new ground in farming.

Clarkson has also binned off another bit of swanky farm kit, his flashy Lamborghini tractor. The Grand Tour star only snagged the pricey tractor a few months back but was seen offering the beast at a machinery auction in Cambridgeshire just this week.

Fans witnessed him rock up to the sale with lad Kaleb and the cameras rolling.
