Soon, Coronation Street fans will be able to see their favourite cast members not just from their armchairs and on television, as the soap is going on tour
Coronation Street is coming to a city near you.
Show chiefs have announced the soap will be going on tour for An Audience With-style stage show featuring cast members.
It comes following the announcement that three new cast members will be joining the soap. And fan-favourite Helen Flanagan recently said she’d be well up for a return, too.
The line-up includes Jack P Shepherd, Jimmi Harkishin, Samia Longchambon and Simon Gregson. There will also be surprise appearances by Corrie legends, which could include Barbara Knox and Bill Roache.
A spokesperson said: “This is your exclusive chance to get up close and personal with your favourite Corrie stars as they spill behind-the-scenes secrets, share hilarious stories, and relive heart-warming moments from the iconic ITV show.”
The tour will kick off in London on September 14 before heading to Sheffield, Salford and Glasgow.
Shows will be hosted by This Morning pundit Sharon Marshall.
Organisers are promising it will be packed with gossip from behind the scenes on TV’s biggest soap.
The spokesperson added: “You’ll enjoy an intimate and lively chat with the cast as they share backstage gossip, funniest on-set moments and personal stories about life in Weatherfield.
“Ever wondered what really goes on between takes? Or which co-stars are best mates off-screen? This is your chance to find out!
“Whether you’ve been watching since 1960 or you’ve just discovered the magic of Weatherfield, An Audience with Coronation Street promises an evening of laughter, nostalgia, and stories you won’t hear anywhere else.”
In other Corrie news, Chesney actor Sam Aston was crowned the winner of this year’s Dancing On Ice.
It followed reports that the ITV ice skating could be facing the axe after a fall in viewing figures.
