Sources close to Danny Jones’ wife, Georgia Horsely, has revealed that she isn’t in a rush to forgive the McFly band member, after he was caught on camera appearing to kiss Maura Higgins
Sources close to Danny Jones’ wife says the former Miss England is ’embarrassed’ following his kiss caught on camera, and won’t forgive him quickly.
Insiders revealed to The Sun that Georgia does not want to be portrayed as a “pushover,” and is making sure the pair work things out before they jump back into a relationship the way they were before. The McFly star, who has been married to Georgia since 2014, appeared to kiss Maura Higgins at Universal’s BRITs afterparty earlier this month. Footage from The Sun seemed to show the pair kissing briefly at the bash, held at 180 Studios on the Strand in London.
Later, a second clip emerged, apparently showing Danny and his former I’m A Celeb campmate Maura partying at London’s posh Nobu Hotel until the early hours. Danny released an apology statement on his Instagram on Friday (March 14), but Maura and Georgia have not addressed the situation publicly.
Georgia is the mother of Danny’s seven-year-old son Cooper. Last week, the couple were spotted in South West London appearing to have a tense chat as they walked through a park with a coffee.
As per the photos, Danny had his wedding ring on, but Georgia’s hand was in her pocket, obstructing it from view.
A friend told The Sun they are keen to work things through and move on from the public situation. They said: “This whole situation has been incredibly embarrassing for Danny and Georgia.”
The source added that Georgia does not want the public to think she is a pushover, or quickly forgiving the McFly member. “She was concerned that the photos of her and Danny together gave the impression that everything is fine, when that is very much not the case.”
Danny shared this apology earlier this week. The musician said he ‘deeply apologises to his wife and family’ for putting them in the spotlight over the last week and told followers that they’ll continue to deal with the matter “privately”.
The statement read: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.
“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
Before this, Maura shared a video of a recent photoshoot she did in a desert in Los Angeles. She has not addressed the Danny situation publicly, and has since shared photos and videos from her holiday in Paris.
