Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle allegedly had their throats slit during an argument with a family member.
Director Rob Reiner and Michele were found dead inside their LA home on Sunday (December 14). The LAPD said they have launched a homicide investigation after the tragic discovery.
Rob, 78, and Michele, 68, were reportedly found dead with stab wounds at their property in Brentwood. It’s now claimed they died after their throats were cut during a “heated argument” with a family member.
The reason for the argument is being investigated by the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division. And TMZ reported that the pair’s daughter told police a family member “should be a suspect” because they’re “dangerous”.

The couple’s son Nick has since been arrested and is in custody in connection with their deaths, according to the LASD Inmate Center records. People magazine previously reported that he was a person of interest following the incident.
According to People, Rob and Michele’s bodies were discovered by a family member. ABC 7 said that the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical aid call at the property at around 3.38pm.
Law enforcement officials told ABC News that Rob and Michele were stabbed to death.

A spokesperson for Reiner’s family said: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”
LA Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement: “This is a devastating loss for our city and our country. He added: “Rob Reiner’s contributions reverberate throughout American culture and society, and he has improved countless lives through his creative work and advocacy fighting for social and economic justice.”
Reiner was a widely acclaimed film director who directed some of the most iconic movies of the 1980s and 1990s. His works include The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Stand By Me and This Is Spinal Tap.
He also had a successful acting career, having starred in movies like Sleepless In Seattle and The Wolf of Wall Street. He also appeared in shows such as New Girl and, recently, the hit show The Bear.
Reiner met photographer Michele while directing When Harry Met Sally. They married in 1989 and had three children, sons Jake and Nick and daughter Romy.
