Emmerdale fans are convinced that a soap legend is set to make a return to the village, as they ‘work out’ who will take down Caleb Miligan after his recent actions
Emmerdale’s Caleb Miligan is set for a shock, according to fans who believe they’ve ‘sussed out’ the return of a soap legend. Caleb (played by William Ash) has had a turbulent few weeks in the wake of Anthony Fox’s (Nicholas Day) murder.
The abuser was killed by his daughter Ruby (Beth Cordingly). However, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) spent nearly a week believing he was to blame, as Aaron, haunted by his own abuse, savagely attacked Anthony before leaving him for dead.
Aaron eventually discovered the truth – and along with John (Oliver Farnworth) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter), the family vowed to keep the murder a secret to protect everyone. This week, however, it became apparent that Caleb’s loyalty to his family has evaporated, following his discovery that his brother Cain (Jeff Hordley) slept with Ruby.

In an act of revenge, Caleb planted Anthony’s missing tooth in the boot of Cain’s car, in an attempt to frame his brother. But when the police searched his car they found nothing.
It was revealed that Aaron had been observing Caleb and retrieved the tooth from Cain’s car and later confronted Caleb. Caleb didn’t reveal Cain and Ruby’s betrayal to Aaron – but threatened him that if he informed the police about Ruby killing Anthony, he would show them CCTV footage of Aaron leaving the house with Anthony’s belongings, reports Leicestershire Live.
Fans of Emmerdale are on tenterhooks as Caleb’s chilling threat loomed over Aaron, leaving him noticeably shaken. As fan theories catch fire amid Caleb’s family drama, a buzz has emerged on social media suggesting a Dales icon might swoop in for an epic takedown.
A user on an Emmerdale Facebook fan group speculated, “Bad move Caleb!” Frenzied comments poured in with viewers betting on the return of Aaron’s ex-love interest Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
A hopeful fan exclaimed: “Where’s Robert when you need him! ” while another added enthusiastically, “I feel they are setting things up for his return does anyone else? ” Echoing the sentiment, another chimed in, “Yes! He can take down nasty Caleb.”
