Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has teased a huge twist in the storyline about his character Nate Robinson’s death as he confirmed that he knows what really happened to him
Ex-Emmerdale hunk Jurell Carter has been stirring the pot with some juicy teasers about his character Nate Robinson’s mysterious fate, leaving fans biting their nails in anticipation.
The 33-year-old actor, who brought Nate to life on the hit ITV soap from 2019 until he waved goodbye last year, left viewers puzzled.
Nate was supposedly off to a new gig, but since no one actually saw him leave the village, whispers started spreading. And let’s not forget, all calls to Nate by his worried ex Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) have hit a dead end, reports OK!.
But last month, after a deadly limo smash-up, AmyWyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) thought she saw a corpse in a lake. In a heart-wrenching moment before her own demise, Amy tried to tell hubby Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) about spotting Nate underwater, but her message got lost in translation.
Now, the rumour mill’s in overdrive about Nate’s possible murder, with a lineup of potential culprits already on the radar.
While chatting up his latest gig in the play Boys from the Blackstuff, Jurell gave Digital Spy a hint that he’s been clued in on Nate’s endgame for ages. He’s excited for the audience to get clued in too.
Pressed on whether he’s in the know about who offed Nate, the lad confirmed: “Yes, I know.”
But don’t expect any spoilers from this chap – he zipped his lips faster than you can say “whodunnit”, teasing that keeping quiet only cranks up the drama. He promised: “When the unravelling does come about, it’s just going to be massive.”
He teased that it’s “amazing”, and is convinced audiences will be “gripped to their seats”.
Jurell spilled the beans: “Basically, I was told a little while beforehand about the plan for Nate.”
He reminisced about a sit-down with producer Sophie Roper, where he got wind of the explosive storylines paving the way for his departure, leaving him with “goosebumps”.
Elaborating on the drama ahead, he hinted: “This is just the start of the unravelling.”
He confirmed the speculation – it was indeed Nate whom Amy glimpsed under the ice after taking an icy plunge. Jurell shared his “really excited” vibes about viewers piecing together the fate of his persona on the soap.
In the same breath, Jurell confided to the outlet that acknowledging the curtain call for his character felt “sad” yet it spurred him with “more reason just to go full force to the pedal” on outside ventures from Emmerdale. He admitted that facing “no option” for a “potential return” prompted him to dive “full steam ahead” into new opportunities.
