EXCLUSIVE: Actor Bradley Riches has started his 2025 preparing for a very different sort of challenge after he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in March last year
Actor Bradley Riches has already done some incredible things in his career at 23.
Last year, he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house after wowing fans on Netflix smash hit Heartstopper. And earlier this year it was announced he was joining ITV soap Emmerdale in a mysterious role.
But this weekend, he will take part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM), running for the charity Autistica, which funds and campaigns for autism, which Bradley has, and related conditions.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star ahead of the event on Sunday (April 6), Bradley confessed the LLHM, which he also ran last year, is a big challenge. He said: “It takes a lot of brain and determination.
“It’s not just physical, it’s definitely mental as well. It’s obviously great and has good benefits, including mental well being.
“But it’s like, life gets in the way. So it’s trying to find that time to be like, ‘No, I need to do this, run there,’ so it’s difficult to find the time because it takes a lot of willpower to just get up and do it.
“It’s definitely hard and definitely difficult. But it’s also very rewarding, definitely.”
Bradley took part in the LLHM last year too, however his training had to take a back seat as he was also signed up for Celebrity Big Brother.
He said: “Before Big Brother, I just didn’t think about it because I didn’t want to scare myself – ignore it and pretend it’s not real – until you’re there and you’re like, ‘Oh no, this is real.’
“But with a run, I kind of just go, ‘Oh yeah, I’m just gonna go on a 5k run,’ and don’t really think about it.”
He added: “I just ignore the end goal and then when the end goal comes, celebrate the hard work I’ve done.”
Brad was in the Celebrity Big Brother house with the likes of winner David Potts, Corrie’s Colson Smith and Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu.
“We’re all very still connected, which is really nice,” he said. They won’t be there supporting him on the day, as he laughed: “I wouldn’t expect them to stand maybe 10 hours waiting for me, but they’ll definitely show their support in other ways.”
But he’s still feeling positive about the big day, saying: “I’m really excited, it’s a great day. It’s also gonna be good weather as well, so I might need to take it easy so I don’t get sunstroke!”
