TOWIE’s Bobby Norris is in hospital for surgery.
The 38-year-old star of the ITVBe show revealed on Friday (March 7) that he was in hospital and set to undergo an operation. The TV personality, who has undergone an epic transformation, found a lump on his testicle last summer and is now getting surgery on it.
He explained the situation to fans in an Instagram clip posted from the hospital, where he admitted things are “not great”. He said: “I’m currently in hospital and about to have an operation today as I have to have an operation today.
“Some of you might remember that a few months back I found a lump and had gone to my GP and was then referred to a specialist to have further tests on it and was told to keep an eye on it.
“And we’ve kept an eye on it… sorry, I don’t think I’ve kind of explained. So I found a lump on one of my testicles and um… yeah. So we’ve kept an eye on it. Not great. Um, so yeah. I’m in hospital today having an operation on it.”
He urged fans to go and visit their GP if they ever find a lump so that any problems can be detected early. “It’s so important for everyone to check themselves. You have to check your body as soon as possible, because we’re the first to know if any changes happen.

“Don’t be embarrassed. Especially men. We feel embarrassed to go to a hospital and drop our Calvins for a doctor. Don’t.
Admitting he was nervous about the upcoming op, he said: “And of course, I am scared. I don’t like the thought of having it opened up like a Babybel. But it’s got to be done. So check yourself, guys.”
Bobby first talked about his lump back in August. He explained his doctor “wasn’t happy with it” and referred him to the hospital for tests that included an ultrasound scan.
At the time, he said: “The doctor carrying out my scans couldn’t tell me anything or give his opinion unfortunately, as I just wanted to know there and then. So I now have to wait to hear from my consultant regarding my results and their findings and then take it from there.”
Bobby shot to fame on TOWIE from 2012 and stayed on the show until 2021. He’s since starred in shows like Celebs Go Dating and, last year, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
