Jennifer Lopez wowed on the red carpet as she put her midriff on full display.
Actress and singer Jennifer, 55, has been getting herself back out into the public eye after finalising her divorce from superstar Ben Affleck. She also has been the subject of awkward gaffes in recent months after a reporter claimed she was ‘getting up there’ whilst promoting her latest Hollywood project.
But despite the rather cringe moments recently, the Jenny From the Block singer looked glamorous as she stepped out onto the red carpet for a new Broadway production for Shakespeare’s Othello. Bringing the class to proceedings, she also brought her child Emme to bring a breath of fresh air to the event.
The star arrived at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in New York with her ripped abs on full display, showing off her toned physique in a glamorous two-piece gown that perfectly hugged her figure, while also showing off her midriff and her obliques. The gown was covered with rhinestones that concentrated on her neck, arms, chest and stomach as she strutted her stuff for photographers.
She also kept the look classy with her various accessories, as she sported a big gold ring, a golden clutch and a pair of sparkling earrings. Her make-up was also a high point, as she shone thanks to a splash of bronzer and highlighter under her eyes and her cheeks, which flaunted the star’s glamorous look.
In contrast to the star’s striking, feminine look, child Emme added a splash of androgyny to proceedings as they wore a black pin-striped suit with a grey shirt and a tartan tie. They did add a dash of glam to their look however, as Emme was seen wearing a necklace with a single pearl, as well as a tiny watch fastened to the suit to go with their outfit.
Jennifer and Emme were some of the exclusive guests brought to the lavish event, which also included former US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill. Other big names invited to the premiere included Hollywood royalty Jamie Lee Curtis, Katie Holmes and Angela Bassett.
Heading to the opening night, the Let’s Get Loud singer took to her Instagram to show fans what she and her child were getting up to. She beamed with joy as she explained: “I have the most amazing date for the black-tie premiere of Othello,” before panning the camera to Emme – who gave a nervous wave to Jennifer’s followers.
It comes as Jennifer admitted she was “ready to date again” after calling time on her on-again-off-again relationship with Ben Affleck. The pair officially divorced in earlier this year, after being separated since last August, but now the star is ready to bring herself back onto the dating market.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source close to the star said that she is looking for someone who can make her “feel special”. They added: “Her life is a lot; she needs a man who can handle all that and still love her unconditionally.”
