Jessica Simpson admits she drinks snake sperm cocktail for very simple reason

Jessica Simpson has confessed to drinking a very strange concoction that most people would feel a bit queasy about, but the star insists it has multiple health benefits

Many of us prefer a coffee in the morning, but Jessica Simpson has shared that she prefers to drink a controversial cocktail of snake sperm and says that it helps her vocal cords as she flaunts her new slimmer figure.

Most people go for honey and lemon or a lozenge instead, but the singer says the Chinese medicinal remedy helps to keep her voice in top shape. Jessica, 44, has recently released a new EP after her split from her husband of more than a decade, and shared a video on her social media of the unusual substance.

The video shows Jessica opening a small bottle before swigging from it, explaining how her vocal coach had recommended she start taking it. She then revealed she made the shocking discovery that it contained snake sperm when curiosity got the better of her and she decided to Google what was in the mixture, but she has been taking her health seriously after losing and regaining 100lbs several times.

She even described the mixture as tasting of “honey,,” insisting: “If you want a good vocal, you’ve got to drink snake sperm.” There were shocked reactions from her friends and colleagues in the video.

Wearing a baby blue fur coat, she joked: “People are like what are you drinking and I’m like ‘I don’t know?!” as a shocked friend asked: “Is it a tea?” Fans rushed to the comment section to share that they still love Jessica’s humour.

Jessica starred in a reality show called Newlyweds back in 2003, with her other ex-husband, Nick Lachey. Fans have been replying in the comments saying they hope she’ll do another reality show.

One wrote: “She needs her own show again, side note, I believe it,” with a snake emoji. “Hilarious and still so carefree,” wrote another.

Others joked about a famous comedy moment of hers from the original TV show, where she revealed she thought that tuna was chicken because of the brand name, Chicken Of The Sea. “Like the chicken of the sea but the snake version!” joked one commenter.

“You always make me smile, I wish you had your own show,” pleaded another. Her new record features some tunes about love, with many fans speculating it might contain a “revenge” track about her ex-husband, Eric Johnson.

The mum-of-three announced her marriage was over in a shock statement back in January, telling People Magazine: “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage. Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them.”

“We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family,” they added. The pair had been married for more than a decade, and share three children together, Maxwell, 12, Ace, 11 and Birdie, five.

Jessica said: “I’ve grown up so much. I can handle so much. Maybe I’m just meant to love a lot of people in my life.”

She added: “I don’t know why my heart gets tossed around but I’m one of the lucky ones. At least I have my children and I still have Eric. He’s still very much a part of my life and will always be.”
