EXCLUSIVE: Reality TV icon Katie Price shares the same ex partner as Celebrity Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton – but this bonded the two stars rather than tearing them apart
Katie Price and Celebrity Big Brother icon Chantelle Houghton both have something in common – they dated the same man.
The pair both dated cage fighter Alex Reid, who was married to Katie between 2010 and 2012, and struck up a romance with the CBB star shortly after he parted ways with the Pricey.
However, things also ended on a sour note between the former couple, who share a daughter, Dolly, who is now 13. However, things have been frosty since their breakup, but that doesn’t mean they are between her and the Mucky Mansion star.
Talking about her friendship with Katie, in collaboration with www.wdwbingo.co.uk, she said: “We probably message two-three times a year, maybe.
“We don’t meet up, or anything like that. But, you know, she has been a support to me when, when I’ve needed her support.
“You know, she gets a lot of bashing in the press and stuff, but she’s not a bad person.
“She’s the kind of person that I know that if I rang her and needed her help, she would help me. And then kind of people worth their weight in gold I think.”
Chantelle also opened up about her rare health condition after she was taken to hospital and diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia, which effects on average 2.25 in every 1000 women.
She explained: “Yeah so I’ve got a heart condition known as Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and actually I now have Atrial fibrillation (AFib) as well, but it’s being monitored and I’m OK.
“It’s not life threatening, I’m not on any medication. If things deteriorate then I can be, but I’m being closely monitored. Other than that I’ve got a clean bill of health!”
Nowadays, Chantelle, 41, is working on launching her own wellness brand which is in the works.
The star shared: “For as long as I can remember I’ve been into wellness and beauty, and so many people are now into eco-friendly, natural products.
“I’m also vegan. I’ve been vegetarian since I was seven and I’ve been vegan for the last 15 years. So, I’m going to be launching a wellness brand, beauty-related, very soon.
“But I can’t really talk much about it at the moment, because I’ve not planned the launch yet, etc. So that’s what I’m working on at the moment.”
