Kerry Katona has addressed claims that she is dating best pal Katie Price.
The Atomic Kitten star has set the record straight and the 44-year-old singer addressed the speculation in her weekly New! Magazine column. She dismissed claims she’s in a romantic relationship with close friend Katie Price.
A joke post on Facebook had suggested Katie, who has been in a relationship with Married At First Sight star JJ Slater for over a year, had come out as lesbian and was dating Kerry.
However, Kerry was quick to shut down the rumour, saying: “There’s a joke article going around Facebook that Katie Price and I are in a relationship, which I just want to confirm is definitely, definitely not true! I have no idea where it has come from but it’s quite hilarious, I’ve heard it all now.”
Kerry, who has been single since splitting from her fiancé Ryan Mahoney in November, added: “We are good friends, but I’m not sure we’d work so well together romantically. Plus, I’ve never been with a woman before.”
“Although with the way my dating life is currently going, maybe it’s something to try out…”
Kerry and Katie share a tight-knit friendship, often spending quality time with their respective families. Last Christmas, Katie and her eldest son Harvey joined the festivities at Kerry’s Cheshire home.
Recently, Kerry stood up for Katie in her weekly column after Pricey faced backlash for endorsing boxer Anthony Fowler’s assertion that his brand, Supreme CBD, ‘cured’ his daughter’s tumour, reports the Mirror.
A video posted on Katie’s Instagram featured her alongside Anthony’s partner, Serena Stregapede, who claimed that their daughter Roma’s leg tumour ‘shrunk’ after using the CBD products.
The promotional claims from Katie didn’t sit well with many fans, prompting Kerry to leap to her defence. In her column, she penned: “I’ve seen that Supreme CBD has been getting lots of bad press over the last week since my friend Katie Price began promoting it and shared that it helped the owner Anthony Fowler’s daughter, who had a tumour in her leg.”
“I’ve been working with the brand and Anthony, for years and I absolutely love it.”
Kerry further stated: “No one is claiming that CBD can cure cancer, they are simply saying that it helped his daughter. I introduced Katie to the brand and, if I’m honest, I think people just like to be negative towards her, no matter what the situation is.”
