Kerry Katona said she is feeling “really broody” and is “set” on having another child, though she has no plans to rekindle her romance with her ex-fiance Ryan Mahoney
Kerry Katona has set her sights on having another baby.
The 44-year-old realty star already has five children from previous relationships. The Atomic Kitten star has Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, with first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi, 18, and Max, 17, with Mark Croft, and daughter DJ, 11, with the late George Kay.
She recently shared a snap of herself, her youngest daughter DJ, and ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney. While she’s happy for Ryan to be involved in the children’s lives, she made it clear they won’t be getting back together as she’s focused on the future – and it seems like she wants to be a mum of six.
In her new! magazine column, Kerry wrote: “DJ had her school leavers’ dance as she’s heading up to secondary school in September, which is crazy to think about. On 6 July, it was also the sixth anniversary of her dad George’s death, so that wasn’t easy.”
However, she beamed with pride as she reflected on DJ’s milestone: “But I was so proud of DJ and Ryan was there to see her off too, since he’s been such a big part of her life.”
Kerry also took to Instagram to share a photo of the trio, but was quick to clarify they’re not rekindling their romance. She added in the column: “I posted a picture of the three of us on Instagram and so many people asked if we’re back together, which we are not. I’d never want to stop him seeing the kids, but I’d never go back there.”
She added: “I’m now set on the fact I want another baby – I thought I was done with having kids, but I’ve been feeling really broody, so we’ll see…”
Kerry revealed she’d been in touch with her ex-husband Brian McFadden’s new wife, Danielle Parkinson, ahead of their wedding to wish them well. Kerry shared her well-wishes for her ex-partner Brian, who recently tied the knot with Danielle.
She said: “My ex, Brian McFadden, got married earlier this month and I just want to wish him and his wife Danielle a lifetime of happiness. I find it sad though that as he gets married, everyone writes stories about me.
“His wedding has nothing to do with me at all. I texted Danielle to wish them a happy day – it looked like a beautiful celebration and I hope they had a ball.”
Kerry also expressed one of her parenting regrets, revealing she wishes she had been more strict about limiting her children’s screen time and electronic device usage.
She stated: “I wish I had imposed more restrictions on my kids when it comes to technology – now it’s impossible to get them to go outside. People have everything at their fingertips and no real reason to leave the house. It’s really sad.”
