Damian Hurley, 23, has weighed in on Instagram after his superstar mum Liz Hurley shared a photograph of US country music icon Billy Ray Cyrus giving her a kiss
Liz Hurley’s son Damian appears to have given her apparent new romance with Billy Ray Cyrus his seal of approval.
Model and actress Liz stunned fans this week when she shared a snap that showed US country music star Billy planting a kiss on her cheek. Posted on Instagram, it showed the pair – who co-starred in 2022 movie Christmas In Paradise – snuggled up as they leaned against a fence in a field.
Liz was smiling underneath a wide-brimmed hat as she leaned towards Billy, who is the dad of pop star Miley Cyrus. “Happy Easter,” she captioned the sweet shot.
Her 23-year-old son Damian has now responded on Instagram, dropping a red heart emoji in the comments section. Damian, who Liz had with late businessman Steve Bing, also added a streamer blowing party emoji to show what he thought of the cute Easter image.
Liz and Billy’s news surprised their followers on the platform, with many admitting they hadn’t seen it coming. “Wait… what?” actress Melissa Gilbert posted. “Who else totally did not have this one on their 2025 bingo card?” asked one shocked fan.
“I am perplexed, flabbergasted, and befuddled,” confessed another, as somebody else joked: “I feel like I’m in an alternate universe.” Another quipped: “Is today April 1st?”
Others said the stars made a “gorgeous couple”. “Good for them! She seems like a good person!” gushed one fan. “Honestly kinda love this,” said someone else.
Another fan exclaimed: “You guys look so Happy!!! Get him girl!! Love is #sobeautiful.” “I guess if I can’t have Billy Ray then Elizabeth can,” joked one person.
Achy Breaky Heart singer Billy has been married three times already. The 63-year-old was married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991.
He was married to Miley’s mum Tish from 1993 to 2023, when they went their separate ways. He went on to tie the knot with Australian singer Firerose later that year, but they split in 2024.
Liz, 59, dated Bing in 2001 and Damian was born in 2002. The businessman and film producer took his own life in 2020.
She has had other high profile romances with actor Hugh Grant, Indian businessman Arun Nayar and cricketer Shane Warne, who died in 2022.
