Love Island star Whitney Adebayo has confessed to catfishing her ex boyfriend after speculating that he was cheating on her – and shared what happened when she confronted him
Love Island’s Whitney Adebayo has confessed to catfishing her ex boyfriend not long after her breakup with Lochan Nowacki.
Whitney shared the news as Smirnoff celebrated the launch of its latest spirit drink innovation, Smirnoff Miami Peach, with an intimate live episode of Chloe Vs The World.
Hosted by Chloe Burrows and joined by reality favourite, entrepreneur and fellow podcaster Whitney, the episode delivered sharp humour, fresh takes and summer-ready chat, with familiar faces like Danny Beard, Millie Court, and Joe Baggs in the audience.
Chloe and Whitney shared funny stories, relatable moments, and introduced a new “Peach or Reach” segment – a twist on Chloe’s existing ‘Hot or Not’ dilemmas feature.
Here’s when Whitney shared her catfish tale, by saying: “I was seeing someone and I made a fake account on Snapchat, because that’s where you can really get them. He’s in Ibiza and it gave red flag.
“Obviously I’m reading all the stories that I’m seeing, and I’m thinking, “Is he gonna be loyal to me?” And then I’m messaging him off the fake Snapchat.
“I messaged him saying, “Oh, you look cute’ and he’s messaging me all this kind of stuff. And I screenshot it, and I sent it to myself and so I sent it to him and I was like, “Someone sent this to me.” He said “That’s a lie,” and deleted the Snapchat. He deleted her, well… me”.
This comes shortly after she announced her split with her Love Island co-star Lochan,after meeting him on the show back in 2023. Whitney told fans: “It was the day he chose to stop choosing us, the day he chose to stop choosing me. And just like that, I found myself alone.”
At the live podcast episode, Chloe also revealed she was caught in a bizarre fan encounter that left her totally speechless during an interview with Daily Star.
The blonde bombshell shared: “I think the wildest encounter I’ve ever had was when I was in the toilet and someone was banging on the door.”
“I went out for brunch and I went to the toilet, they got up on the next toilet and looked down at me having a wee!”
“It still blows my mind [that people notice me]. Walking around I’m fine but as soon as I speak, that’s when they notice me because everyone recognises my voice.
“It’s so funny because everyone says I have ten million accents, so how can you recognise them?!”
“If I’m on a plane or something, they’ll come down and be like: ‘I knew I heard you!”
“I’m always surprised when people notice me in public, because I’m just posing on my phone.”
