MAFS Australia 2025 trailer teases dramatic moments and ‘outrageous’ series first

Married at First Sight Australia has already had viewers hooked, and it’s only set to get even more explosive.

Married at First Sight Australia has made a smashing return, promising more drama than ever in its 12th season.

The hit reality show kicked off on E4 this Monday (March 3), introducing viewers to a new batch of hopeful singles ready to marry a stranger.

In just three episodes, we’ve witnessed jaw-dropping moments, including a couple who reunited at the altar after dating eight months before and a groom bailed on his honeymoon because his bride didn’t tick all the boxes on his hefty list of “non-negotiables”.

Plus, one bride was left gutted when she discovered her hubby wasn’t feeling that “initial spark” and gave her the cold shoulder during their wedding bash.

The drama is ramping up, and if the season’s trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for an absolute rollercoaster, reports OK!

The teaser, unveiled at the end of episode one, starts with dreamy romantic vibes as one bride gushes: “We feel like we’ve known each other for a lifetime.”

But the honeymoon phase is short-lived, as the next scenes show a cascade of tears from the cast.

One sobbing newlywed laments: “I’m here because I wanted a bl***y Cam [Merchant] and Jules [Robinson] kind of love.”

And it’s not just romance woes stirring the pot as the dinner parties are set to be a hotbed of tension, pushing some couples to the edge.

Fans of Married At First Sight Australia were left with their jaws on the floor as relationship expert John Aiken spilled the beans after a shocking dinner party scene: “We’ve seen a lot of dinner parties over the years. This is outrageous.”

But it’s not just the dinner dos causing a ruckus, as the commitment ceremonies are proving to be equally bonkers. The pros aren’t pulling any punches, with Mel Schilling cutting into a heated debate to pull up a participant.

“This is inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour. That is a non-negotiable,” John then laid down.

The drama didn’t stop there. One peeved bride couldn’t handle it anymore, storming out shrieking, “Did you really think I was gonna give him the last word?”

The fiery encounter ended with a bewildered John stating, “It’s game over. I don’t think we’ve ever had that before.”

After peeking at the nail-biting trailer, hordes of fans sprinted to social media, buzzing with anticipation. One fan gushed: “That’s all to come up in the series this is going to be interesting.”

“Can already feel this will be one of the best seasons of #MAFSAU yet,” cheered another, while a third mused: “Oh wow the new series of #MAFSAU is going to be fantastic drama overload.”

Another keen viewer added their two cents: “This season looks good. Australia reigns supreme in the MAFS universe lol.”

With tension rising, others are begging the experts to keep a tight ship: “This drama is going to be outrageous this season. I just hope that people are held to account.”

Show chiefs have previously hinted that this season will be “the most explosive series yet” with moments that have “never been seen before in the history of the show”.

A brand-new twist, dubbed Final Test Week, will also be introduced to the experiment. This will present the couples with their biggest challenge yet as they’re asked the age-old question, “Is the grass greener on the other side?”
