Noel Edmonds signed up to make his reality show to stop rumours that he’s dead.

Many fans are convinced he’s no longer with us and he’s keen to prove them wrong by returning to screens.

He said: “People still ask, “Noel Edmonds? Didn’t he die? Is he still around? Yes, I’m still here… and living life to the full!”

The show is all about his new life as a farmer in New Zealand. After decades on the box on shows including Noel’s House Party and Deal or No Deal, he’s hoping viewers will finally get to see the real him.

He said: “I decided to do this to show a different side of me. I’ll admit it: there’s a bit of ego involved.”

Noel also agreed to do the show to help boost tourism for the country.

He said: “The pandemic devastated local communities and businesses. Tourism hasn’t recovered.

“Visitor numbers are nowhere near pre-COVID levels. It’s a fabulous place for a holiday, and we wanted to highlight that.”

Noel is also keen to help businesses in the surrounding area.

He said: “I wanted to do this show to support the local economy. If people watch the show, see what we’re doing at River Haven, and like it, that could have a ripple effect.

“Our suppliers, the local producers of our beer, cider, and other

goods all benefit. We want to showcase what this community offers.”

Noel has loved being in front of the camera again.

He said: “We had a fantastic time filming the ITV series. It was a small crew.

“We’ve been lucky. We’ve met some incredible people. And they’ve welcomed us. They’re glad we came and we’re grateful to be here.”

Bosses at ITV are promising the series will give fans an insight into Noel’s new life alongside wife Liz.

A spokesperson said: “Two years ago, they bought land around Ngatimoti, a small rural town and built a hospitality business in the heart of the community, including a vineyard, coffee cart, general store and restaurant and pub, which is about to reopen to the public for its second full season.

“Noel’s latest idea is to build New Zealand’s first energy garden.

“But how will his legacy project and the fledgling business cope when faced with unseasonal weather, bad press and feelings of being an outsider?
