A recording of a phone call said to be between hip-hop stars Kanye West and P Diddy has emerged, in which the pair reportedly ‘show each other love and support’
P Diddy reportedly urged Kanye West to “get back to smiling” and to “have some f****** fun” after reports of his troubles with his ex Kim Kardashian.
The Shade Room has obtained what is said to be a phone call between Kanye and Diddy, who is currently in jail awaiting trial on a string of charges. In it, it’s said the two show each other love and support as they discuss music and touch on Diddy’s legal issues.
The hip-hop mogul – whose real name is Sean Combs – is currently jailed at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre. He has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution – all of which he denies.
He also separately faces lawsuits accusing him of rape and assault, but has denied wrongdoing.
The tape of the phone call has emerged after Kanye locked horns with Kim, who he shares four children with. The pair are thought to have fallen out after he featured their 11-year-old daughter North in a new song, Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine, which also featured Diddy.
According to TMZ, Kim objected to North being involved in the track. Kanye then went on to share text messages they allegedly wrote to each other discussing it.
One message allegedly from Kim said: “We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids’ names and trademarks so no one else would take them.”
Kanye then appears to reply: “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us with recover from the public fallout.”
“You’re going to have to kill me,” he adds in another message to his ex.
The star has now been heard seemingly chatting to Diddy in the call obtained by The Shade Room. It isn’t clear when it was recorded.
Diddy says: “When I get out there, man, I want to see you f***** tear down the stadiums. I need to see you back on that stage, f****** actually rapping and f****** performing and everything. I be dreaming of that s***.”
“Yeah it’s time,” Kanye agrees. “It’s time for me to grab the mic and get back on.
” I love music again,” he said.
“F*** these other mother f******,” Diddy also says during the call. “They are wasting your time.”
“Put that love in your heart, man, and enjoy yourself,” he urged Kanye.
Diddy then referred to his legal situation, thanking Kanye for reaching out to his children while he is in prison. He said: “When I get out and I get that f****** freedom, woo. I am not caring about nothing but mother f****** being happy. And I want you to feel that.”
Kim and Kanye tied the knot in 2014 and they share daughters North, 11, and Chicago, seven, and sons Saint, nine and Psalm, five.
In 2021 there were whisperings that the couple were set to call time on their marriage, and their divorce was finalised in 2022.
