Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Ellie Egar has opened up about her unexpected pregnancy reveal. Just a fortnight ago, Ellie beamed with happiness as she shared that she and her other half Chris Lewis were expecting a little bundle of joy.
The celeb was caught off guard by her own baby news after falling ill upon her return from Thailand. She told The Mirror: “It was a complete shock. I came back from filming in Thailand and wasn’t feeling well.
“I took a test, left it on the side while tidying, and threw it in the bin without checking. It was only when it hit the bin that I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ It was a lot to take in, but in the best way. I told Chris that evening – he was over the moon.”
Over Valentine’s weekend, the pair let the cat out of the bag with a dreamy snap from Venice, showing off a mock-up newspaper saying “Baby Lewis is on the way. Due July 2025.”
Underneath, Ellie penned the word “Complete”.
Their mates from the show were quick to shower them with love. Lystra Adams shared, “Huge congratulations I’m so happy for you guys,” and Paige Chohan added, “The best news everrrrrrr! So happy for you and Chris xxxx.”, reports the Mirror.
In a heartwarming Instagram story update, the couple announced they’re expecting a little princess. The back page of their mock-up newspaper read, “We can’t wait to meet you baby girl. You’ve got the best big brother waiting for you,” nodding to Chris’s son from a previous relationship and Ellie’s stepson.
This joyous announcement follows Ellie and Chris getting engaged in September 2024, with wedding bells on the horizon and Ellie recently enjoying her hen do on a frosty getaway, as teased by co-star Rachel Lugo’s Instagram story titled “HEN WEEKEND.”
Ellie made her debut on The Real Housewives of Cheshire for its 18th series, which started rolling cameras in December 2024. Celebrating a decade of drama, the series launched with a bang on a luxurious trip to Thailand, with the first episode airing last week showing the cast embroiled in fiery disputes, leaving newbie Ellie stunned.
