Former reality star Tamika Sueann-Rose Chesser has been charged with murder after her boyfriend Julian Story was found dead. Authorities discovered the 39-year-old’s decapitated body at the couple’s South Australia home on June 19, after reports of a small fire. Following an investigation, Tamika, 34, was arrested and charged.
Cops are still trying to find Julian’s head, according to reports. The man’s burnt and decapitated remains were discovered in the bathroom of a Port Lincoln home.
Tamika was arrested two days later when police found her sitting in a garden “in a catatonic and unresponsive state”, court documents said.
As well as murder, Tamika has been charged with disposing of human remains to pervert the course of justice and assaulting a police officer, according to The Telegraph.
Authorities have since issued an appeal with the public for help in finding Julian’s head, which they have said was removed after his alleged murder at around midnight on June 17.
Detective Superintendent Darran Fielke said in a press conference: “While I won’t provide any further detail about that at this time, I can tragically say that we have not recovered the head of Julian Story.
“I can only imagine, and I want you to imagine, the grief this news is causing Julian’s family.
“Recovering Julian’s head to return it to his family so they can have a peaceful outcome, have a funeral and lay him to rest is a really important aspect for us.”
It’s reported that there was no obvious motive and that Tamika was compliant when she was arrested, having been found in an unresponsive state.
CCTV footage believed to show Tamika was released to the public. In it, the woman is seen with her dogs after the alleged murder.
Cops are hoping it may help discover where Julian’s head may be.
Detective Superintendent Fielke said: “I’m appealing to local residents to review CCTV or dash cam footage which they may have, which may assist the investigation.”
A court order had previously been in place which meant Tamika could not be identified, however it was removed on Friday in Adelaide Magistrates Court by Magistrate Ben Sale.
It also stopped the publication of the allegations surrounding the death and investigation.
Tamika was refused bail when she appeared in court via video link and is being held under a mental health detention order.
Her next court date is set for December.
