Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp has been keep fans up to date throughout her health journey – but she couldn’t hold it together during her latest admission.
Teddi, 43, shared a tear-jerking moment online showing a nurse taking her surgical staples out from her head, just two weeks after she had brain tumour surgery.
The RHOBH alum shared a clip of the moment on Instagram Stories on Wednesday (February 27), hours after telling fans doctors had found more tumours on her brain.
The mum-of-three, who had to shave her long blonde hair to a buzzcut for the operation, could be seen visibly choked up during the video as she held a disposable emesis bag in case she felt sick.
She captioned the clip: “Got my staples out today.” It was evident Terri had support all around her as a voice could be heard saying “Good job, Teddi,” and “You did it.”
Earlier in the day, Teddi delivered the devastating news that doctors have have now found more tumors on her brain but she is defiant that “the fight is not over.”
She posted a statement online which read: “I am so grateful for the incredible surgeons, doctor, and nurses who made my surgery a success and my recovery process comfortable,’ she posted to her Instagram.
“In full transparency, more tumors were removed than expected: 4 in total. This fight is not over, but that round has been won.’
“The laughter, support, and patience of my kids, my family, and my closest friends is one gift with which words cannot properly express my gratitude.
“As I move on to the next steps in my treatment, I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for the outpouring of love and prayers. I see them, and they’re definitely helping me stay strong.”
Earlier this month, Teddi underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumors and has been keeping her concerned fans up to date with each stage of the process ever since.
