Robbie Williams called upon to spearhead search for aliens and open UK hidden X-Files

Ufologists have approached Robbie Williams to front a new campaign that is going to reveal the truth about alien life, after he spoke about his own personal UFO encounters

A new UFO disclosure group launched this month to make the UK government open its X-Files and reveal the truth about alien life wants the Angels’ singer to lead its campaign.

The UK Disclosure Group has been created by documentary filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee to push for transparency over close encounters.

It will launch on May 19 at an exclusive event at the Karma Sanctum Hotel in Soho, central London. The group’s formation comes amid public concern over national security, airspace safety and government accountability following mystery craft sightings across Britain.

Ufologists have approached Robbie to front the campaign. The singer has spoken openly about his own personal UFO encounters and interest in extraterrestrials.

“He has both the courage and the cultural influence to help shift the conversation from the margins into the mainstream. We believe his involvement could be truly historic.’’

Robbie, 51, has admitted he has had several close encounters and once saw a UFO so close he could have hit it with ‘a tennis ball’.

On another occasion – when he was writing the song Arizona about alien contact – a ‘gold ball of light’ visited the studio as the music played.

He has said he believes aliens may be deliberately targeting him to be a messenger for them on Earth because of his fame.

Former head of the UK’s Ministry Of Defence’s UFO desk Nick Pope has offered his support to the new group.

While former EastEnders ’ actor John Altman – who played `Nasty’ Nick Cotton – is also a supporter and plans to attend the launch.

The group will call on the UK Government to fully disclose all knowledge of UFOs and unexplained aerial encounters.

This includes declassifying documents, investigating recent drone-like sightings with transparency and creating whistleblower protection laws similar to those introduced in the US.

Mark said: “We are not dealing with science fiction. We are dealing with real events, real sightings, and real security implications.

“The UK is falling behind the US when it comes to open dialogue and transparency. We must create an independent, safe platform for whistleblowers in the UK to share what they know – without fear of ridicule or reprisal.’’

The launch will feature the UK premiere of The King of UFOs – Lee’s documentary exploring the Royals’ interest in the phenomenon.
