Former I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson has referred to his recent split from his long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott in a funny new video posted on Instagram
Sam Thompson has poked fun at his split from Zara McDermott with a funny social media post.
The Made In Chelsea star and Love Island beauty Zara had been together for five years but reports of trouble in paradise emerged and they have now gone their separate ways. Sam recently admitted on his Staying Relevant podcast that he’d had a “tough month”, but it seems things are picking up as he made a joke about the break-up in a new video.
Posted on Instagram, the clip showed the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner dressed up like a character from Harry Potter, with his sister Louise, her partner Ryan Libbey and their son all dressed up too and playing along.
Fans were amused, with one posting in the comments section: “I love how happy you are. Good things will come to positive people. You always make me laugh and smile.”
“This is EVERYTHING!!!!!!” said another, as someone else remarked: “This is how you handle a break-up like a pro… I need to take notes.”
“The BEST reactions to break-ups are the humorous ones,” said another fan. “I just need to be your best friend at this point,” joked somebody else.
“Well I wasn’t expecting this,” admitted one fan. Another posted: “SAM you are the wizard I luv the tie.”
Meanwhile, Zara has been at the centre of romance rumours with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson. There has been speculation about the pair dating and they were recently snapped together at a hotel in Suffolk.
Snaps in The Sun showed the pair smiling and chatting as they enjoyed fish and chips and cocktails.
A source claimed: “Louis whisked Zara away for a break in Suffolk and he absolutely charmed her. It’s clear he thinks she’s drop-dead gorgeous too.
“Louis is a proper gentleman so this trip was something he planned and put on for Zara. He was really thoughtful and wanted to make it special.”
The insider said the pair are “taking things slowly” and seeing what happens.
