Alice In Wonderland in a well-known Disney film based on the Lewis Carroll book, but bet you didn’t know there’s a grisly horror retelling of the famous children’s story
Alice In Wonderland has a twisted horror remake you never knew existed.
Alice In Terrorland is a 2023 horror film based on the 1951 Disney film, which is based on the book written by Lewis Carroll. The film’s description reads: “A recently bereaved teenage girl goes to live with her aunt in a secluded woodland house, unaware that sinister forces lurk within.”
Underneath the film’s trailer on YouTube, which showed a young girl terrorised in a mental asylum, fans were seriously unimpressed with what they saw and slammed the retelling of the classic Disney tale. One person furiously typed: “The acting in this movie was so bad to the point where a dead character blinked.”
Another scathed: “I need to know HOW AND WHY this piece of c*** has randomly made it to theatres where I live,” while someone else chimed in: “From the trailer it looks like this movie is all over the place very confusing.”
However, some people expressed their excitement for the 2023 horror and couldn’t resist adding their thoughts. One comment read: “Its an eerie movie. Has alot of deep meanings. I thought it was worth watching and kept my attention. Underrated creepy film.”
“Wow this is weird I had no idea this movie even existed on til right now,” added another horror fan, clearly excited to give the flick a chance.
Alice in Terrorland stars Lizzy Willis, Rula Lenska, Lila Sarner, Nikol Atanasova and Steve Wraith. Elsewhere in horror movie news, the new trailer for Bambi: The Reckoning has been released.
Based on the 1942 film of the same name, Bambi is the latest Disney character to enter the Poohniverse. The trailer shows a bloodthirsty deer with razor sharp teeth running through a forest and straight toward the camera.
In another scene, a family drive along as “Bambi” sprints out of the woods and roars before sending the car over sideways. Despite the horrifying scenes, cinemagoers were divided over the trailer and rushed to the comments once again.
Someone wanted to know “where’s Thumper and Flower” while another X/Twitter user savagely branded the film “aggressively unnecessary”. Another person demanded: “Enough with the public domain horror movies.”
