Lewis Cope is planning a sensational return to acting after being voted off Strictly. The TV hunk has told Daily Star he has had a raft of offers in recent weeks and is already signed up for a new role.
Lewis Cope has been swamped with offers for top roles thanks to Strictly.
The dance contest has made him more famous than ever, so top directors are desperate to work with him.
He said: “The attention that Strictly creates and the viewing figures that it gets is different to anything I’ve ever experienced. The offers have been flooding in, which is so lovely.”
Lewis has already signed up for a role on a new show.
The hunk, who shot to fame on Emmerdale, is due to start filming within weeks.
He said: “I loved dancing on Strictly, but I am an actor and I can’t wait to get back on screen.
“It will be great to be back on set and doing what I love doing. I’m happy the focus is back on my acting. I’ll be on screen very soon… on television.”
Lewis is also hoping to bag a role in a West End show now he’s mastered fancy footwork.
He said: “The beautiful thing about doing Strictly was having a live audience and feeling that reaction.
“That’s something I’d get from doing the West End, which would be lovely.”
Lewis was voted off Strictly earlier this month in a shock result.
At the time, he said, “It’s been more than I could have ever wished for.
“If someone would have said that I’d have done 11 weeks on the show at the beginning, I’d have been over the moon and snap their hand off.
“So, thank you to the full show, to everyone for having a space where people can be themselves, grow, learn, express themselves. It’s been incredible and a memory that I’ll have for the rest of my life.”
His dance partner Katya Jones said: “I think you have created so many moments for Strictly Come Dancing that will be in the history books and you will be remembered as one of, if not, the best male celebrity we’ve ever had on the show, but also you will be remembered for being an incredible person you are.
“Kind and genuine people still exist… what a gentleman you are, so humble and so kind.”
