Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has turned heads with his fashion choice ahead of the team’s massive Super Bowl clash tonight.
The boyfriend of pop sensation Taylor Swift and The Chiefs are gunning for an extraordinary third consecutive Super Bowl title and their fourth in six years as they go up against the Eagles.
Travis, 35, made quite the statement upon arrival at the Superdome, igniting a flurry of memes and jokes across social media. He was seen exiting the Chiefs’ Marriott hotel in New Orleans clad in a striking brown Amiri suit paired with shades, giving onlookers a sneak peek of his getup as he sauntered towards the team bus.
His ensemble featured a coordinated shirt, jacket, and trousers, along with tinted sunglasses, a gold brooch, and a chic black bag. The outfit hails from Amiri’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, and he was also spotted with a ‘cherry ice pop’ flavoured Accelerator energy drink in hand.
Social media had a field day, with one Twitter user joking: “Travis Kelce arrives looking like a 70s porn director… or maybe an extra in Starsky and Hutch,” while another chimed in, “Travis Kelce looks like he’s filming a Bee Gees biopic.”
Another couldn’t resist quipping, “Travis Kelce looks like he was just acquitted of killing disco.”, reports the Mirror.
Earlier this week, Travis stirred up some controversy among his girlfriend’s fans by saying it would be a “great honour” to perform in front of US President Donald Trump at Sunday’s Super Bowl. Trump is set to make history as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl when the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles at the New Orleans Superdome tonight.
Travis’ girlfriend Taylor, who openly criticised Trump and backed his opponent Kamala Harris during last year’s election, surprisingly embraced Wednesday’s news.
Travis said: “No matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life. Having the president there, it’s the best country in the world and that’s pretty cool.”
Taylor had a public spat with Trump during the presidential campaign after endorsing Harris, which led Trump to declare on his social media platform Truth that he “hated” the singer. Trump later conceded that he liked Travis “even though he may be a liberal and probably can’t stand me! “
