The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson dies aged 82 as family share ‘grief with the world’

The Beach Boys singer Brian Wilson has died.

Wilson was a co-founder of the band and his family have announced the news of his passing. It was revealed back in 2024 that Wilson was living with a neurocognative disorder similar to dementia.

They posted on X/Twitter: “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away.”

“We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family grieving. We realise that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy.”

Devastated fans replied to the post with their messages of respect for the singer as one person wrote: “So sorry to read this. He will forever be remembered as a truly great musician.”
