Vogue Williams has taken to social media to address the ongoing speculation that she and her husband Spencer Matthews have split – and she wasn’t holding back one bit
Vogue Williams has spoken out against the rumours swirling about her marriage to Spencer Matthews being on the rocks.
Despite whispers claiming trouble in paradise, Vogue has clapped back in style.
With a series of snaps showing the duo all loved-up, Vogue quashed any break up buzz, especially worried about her kids catching wind of the gossip at school. She kicked off with: “It’s with great sadness that I have to let you know that Spen and I are NOT breaking up!”.
Tired of batting away chatter, she felt compelled to set the record straight: “I usually avoid addressing baseless and cruel rumours but this just keeps coming up. It’s disappointing to see this narrative being pushed almost daily when it’s absolutely not true and much more importantly I don’t want my children hearing these lies in the playground,” said Vogue.
She continued: “We’re not sure what the angle is or where it’s coming from but the whole thing feels very strange and mean. We’re very happily married and in love and I hope posting the truth on my own platform might make it stop.”
Despite years of wedded bliss, tongues started wagging when the couple didn’t show social media love for their fifth anniversary and mentioned occasional “tiffs”, fuelling speculation, reports the Mirror.
Just weeks prior, the couple’s union was thrown into the limelight when Vogue dished out to Vogue magazine about how they divvy up domestic duties. She quipped: “In the nicest way possible, I would say I fix the broken radiator and I do the school run. I would say I do 80 percent of what goes on. We’ve actually been having a slight little tiff about that this morning, about the stuff that I do.”
During an intimate tell-all this month, Spencer let slip to The Mirror his fears of possibly losing Vogue at one point in their love story. On turning his back on bachelor antics for marital bliss he confessed: “Vogue was a massive factor in my wanting to change.
“I wanted to be better for her, initially. I thought I would lose her. There was never any pressure from her per se, I could just see disappointment in her eyes. I care enormously about my relationship, my love for her. I wanted to make her proud initially so that was a driving factor. She’s an amazing mother and a gorgeous wife and I’m super chuffed to have her as my missus.”
The celeb pair, who are parents to Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and little Otto, aged two, manage a hectic home life. Commenting on juggling all their little ones’ schedules, Vogue admitted: “I am in two groups, three, one for nursery, two for the kids’ school, because Theodore and Gigi are in different years, and there is so much stuff coming in all the time that I just sometimes feel quite overwhelmed by it.”
