Ariana Grande fans are absolutely livid after the pop princess missed out on a BAFTA win for Best Supporting Actress in the musical hit Wicked. The 31-year-old superstar, who brought Glinda to life on the silver screen, couldn’t quite bag the gong despite her swarm of loyal admirers.

While she didn’t take home the win, Ariana led the best dressed on the red carpet list thanks to her stunning black and pink gown.

Instead, the accolade was snagged by Avatar’s Zoe Saldaña for her riveting portrayal of Rita Mora Castro in Emilia Pérez. After her win, Zoe launched into a long foul-mouthed speech and she got cut off before she could finish.

However, while the judges were convinced by Zoe’s performance, not everyone watching from home was on the same page, with some diehard fans insisting Ariana was downright “robbed” of the award, especially after her Golden Globe snub to Zoe earlier in the year.

Heated supporters took their grievances online, with one disgruntled fan declaring: “Sorry but Ariana Grande has been robbed again. If she doesn’t win this Oscar I’m gonna go crazy.”

Another added fuel to the fire, tweeting: “Ariana was robbed again. Utter joke BAFTAs,” reports the Mirror.

A third chimed in, adamant that: “If Ariana Grande doesn’t win this, then she has been robbed. She gave one of the greatest performances in cinema as Galinda in Wicked Part 1.”

Meanwhile, yet another incensed fan blasted: “Ariana Grande was robbed!”.

Ariana may not have bagged the top trophy, but she wowed in a black and pink gown that plunged in just the right places, stealing the show at The Royal Festival Hall’s reception where she had a heartfelt reunion with her Wicked pal Cynthia Erivo. The pair were spotted sharing a cosy hug, beaming as they caught up amidst the glitz and glam.

Sadly for Cynthia, she also lost out, with Mikey Madison taking the win for her role in Anora instead. But it wasn’t all bad news for the Wicked crew.
