Hollyoaks fans have seen Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) struggling emotionally over the last few months as he battles depression.
The Channel 4 soap favourite has received some help in the form of Kyle Kelly (Adam Rickett), who provided has provided him with support as a result.
Things take a sinister turn next week as Kyle panics when he can’t get in touch with his pal.
When Kyle discovered from Darren’s partner Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) that Darren isn’t in the best place emotionally, he instantly recognised the signs and therefore rushes to provide his friend with some support.
An emotional Kyle opened up to Darren about his experience wth alcohol and the pair have been sending each other positive text messages daily ever since their heart-to-heart.

Hollyoaks spoilers have revealed that Kyle gets a shock when wife-to-be Nancy (Jessica Fox) surprises him with the arrival of his mum and dad, both of whom he didn’t want to come to the village, and the reasons why soon come to light.
Meanwhile, Darren sits on the couch, before making the decision to get up and leave his apartment.
In next week’s hour-long episode, set to air on Tuesday April 14, Darren remains in a dark mood as he sits in a dark room.
After leaving his home, he walks down an unfamiliar street with red eyes and a bag on his back.

Later, Kyle realises he’s missed several calls from Darren and rushes off in a panic.
Kyle is evidently worried about his friend given that he’s depressed but will he be able to get to him before its too late?
Speaking about the importance of a storyline such as Darren’s depression, actor Ashley Taylor Dawson said: “It’s such a huge story to tell, and it’s sadly so common.
“The biggest message we are trying to get out there is for people to talk, and listen.

“However, sometimes, talking can be damaging, because you’re talking to the wrong person.
“If you talk to a professional, it’s confidential. I think everyone’s biggest fear is vulnerability, and letting people in to their own personal stuff.”
Fans will have to tune in next week to see if Darren gets help in his hour of need.
