Phillip Schofield jibes BGT star is 'stalker' as he sings about Holly's 'smell'

This Morning’sPhillip Schofield referred to a Britain’s Got Talent star as “stalkerish” on yesterday’s show as he sang a song about Holly Willoughby’s “smell”.

Jon Courtenay, 46, was Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly’s golden buzzer on the ITV show at the weekend, and he joined Phil, 58 and Holly, 39, on the show.

The Manchester based singer, who is now through to the live semi-finals of Simon Cowell’s talent competition, claimed his song was inspired by a friend who met Holly and told Jon that she smelt nice.

He sang: “Always hoped my big break on British TV would get me on This Morning with Phil and Holly, but then this damn virus came and spoiled everything, so instead of on your sofa I’m just video calling.

“I’ve spoken to people who have been on the show, who actually made it to the studio, and all of them have told me without hesitation, that Holly is a wonderful scent sensation.

“So Holly I’m sorry I can’t tell you how upset I might get now I can’t smell you.

“Maybe it’s just whatever perfume you wear or your underarm spray or the stuff in your hair, whatever the reason you sweeten the air and that’s why I’m gutted I can’t physically be there.

“Now we all know the world is a happier place ’cause every morning on This Morning we see your face, but I think we’d be happier if we all got a whiff, so we need a TV that has scratch and sniff.”

Holly was in hysterics at the song, seemingly loving the song dedicated to her.

Phil, who also chuckled, proceeded to say that it was “getting a bit stalker-ish towards the end.”

Phil then joked that currently the lyrics are inaccurate as Holly had let herself go after guests stopped visiting the studio.

Holly laughed saying: “I stink.”

Viewers fell in love with Jon’s original song on Saturday’s episode of BGT.

It was the second instalment of the 14th series, and Simon and the rest of the judges were left in fits of giggles at his song.

They were also reduced to tears by the end of the also moving original tune.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV, and Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturdays at 8pm on ITV
