Kobe Bryant's wife shares heartbreaking birthday letter she saved from late star

Vanessa Bryant, who turned 38 today, shared a photo of a letter sent by her late husband Kobe Bryant from her birthday.

The birthday girl revealed she’d left Kobe’s letter until last, as she celebrates her birthday without the basketball star and daughter Gianna, after losing them both in a helicopter crash in January.

She also has daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, three, and Capri 10 months.

Posting to her 14.1million Instagram followers today, Vanessa shared a photo of her hand on the precious letter.

Accompanying the heartbreaking photo, Vanessa wrote: “Yesterday I found an envelope labelled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi.

“I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today.

“The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover. Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita – my fellow Taurus.

“Grateful to wake up to my three sweet girls today. Wish we were all together. #MyBirthdayWish”
