This Morning caller leaves Ruth and Eamonn red-faced over major show blunder

This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford were left red-faced today after a viewer made an epic name blunder.

The awkward moment was during Spin To Win when, after they failed to speak to two callers, a third viewer finally answered.

However, things turned cringeworthy when she didn’t realise it was Eamonn and Ruth, as she yelled: “Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m talking to Phil and Holly!”

Eamonn quickly corrected the viewer, before she quickly said: “I can’t believe I’m speaking to Eamonn and Ruth.”

Viewers went into a frenzy on Twitter after the awkward TV blunder.

One said: “‘Omg am I actually talking to Phil and holly’ ‘no’ oh my goddddddddd best moment of this morning. Ever.”

While another wrote: “‘Can’t believe I’m talking to Phil and Holly’ They won’t like that” adding two laughing face emojis at the end of their tweet.

Another added: “She called them Phil and Holly. Has she been watching?”
“Well Jessica’s obviously not watching” typed a fourth.

Today’s episode of the ITV show also suffered a series of gaffes as the competition Spin To Win fell into absolute chaos.

The first caller was supposed to say the password ‘bees knees’ but Eamonn was convinced he had said ‘good evening’.

As a result they moved on to the next viewer, but fans were left furious as they were certain the caller had actually said the correct passcode to play.

One said: “Huge controversy going on about the first contestant saying the correct password. I definitely don’t think he would have said ‘Good evening’ (as was thought) at this time of day. “

While another remarked: “The first guy on Spin to Win definitely said the pass phrase. @EamonnHolmes @RuthieeL how did that sound like “Good evening” ?

We reminded it several times. Poor guy, I think they should ring him back and let him have a go!”

Listening to the viewers, the show brought the first player back on the show to play Spin To Win as it turns out he did say the right password.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
