Lorraine Kelly and Fern Britton let rip at people pooing on beach in GMB rant

Lorraine Kelly and Fern Britton were unable to hide their anger today after hearing of people defecating on the beaches along the south coast this week.

The TV duo begged sun-lovers to clean up their behaviour after flocking to the beach during the current heatwave.

Shaking her head while presenting Good Morning Britain Lorraine hinted at the unsavoury antics by explaining public toilets are often closed due to coronavirus but stopped short of going into any more detail.

However, Fern was less careful how she worded her anger.

Fern and Lorraine couldn’t hide their anger on GMB

Speaking via video link from her home, a clearly annoyed Fern said: “I am getting a bit irate of all the rubbish being left behind.

“We are braced for the 4th of July [when pubs and bars open].

“It is not that we want people to stay away but they need to be respectful.

“You may not say it but I will… during the May Bank Holiday there were people literally defecating in the sand dunes.”

The annoyed TV legend continued: “I understand people get really caught out but clear up after yourself.

“You would clear up after your dogs so have some bags and clear yourself.

“When he public loos are open it is bad enough as people stuff nappies down them and they over flow.

Lorraine begged people to think about their actions

“I understand the frustration but if you do get caught out please take a bag.”

Revealing her personal top tip, Fern added: “With my children I used to line the bucket for sandcastles with a bag and then they could use that and then tie the bag and throw it away.”

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays 6am on ITV
