Naya Rivera sent a tragic photograph of her son on the boat 90 minutes before he was discovered alone.
The former Glee actress went missing six days ago, and police have now confirmed the body pulled from Lake Piru on Monday is hers.
Rivera sent a photo of her four-year-old son Josey to a family member 90 minutes before he was found on their boat, which helped the search team to locate her body.
The picture showed the cove that they’d sailed to, and so police focused their search on that area of the lake in near California.
Her body was found on the seventh anniversary of the actress’ former co-star Cory Monteith’s tragic death.

A video posted by the Los Angeles Times showed Ventura County Sheriff’s Department officials confirming that the body found was Rivera.
Captain Eric Buschow said this afternoon that her family had been informed of the devastating news.
He said: “This is an area we’ve been searching very hard. I don’t know what the depth is, where she was found, I’ll have to get more details.

“We had boat crews out on the lake at first light this morning.
“This hits home for everybody involved. We’re in the business of saving people… it’s hard for everybody involved.”
He added that he hoped finding the body would bring her family closure.

“Finding out she’s missing and then this day to day, the wait and not knowing… hopefully this provides some level of closure,” he explained.
Around 4pm in the afternoon on July 8, a rented pontoon boat was found with Rivera’s son alone inside the vessel.
The child reportedly told police his mother had gone swimming in the lake but hadn’t returned to the boat.
