GMB's Piers Morgan vows to hunt down 'disgusting' burglars who raided his villa

Piers Morgan has used his return to Good Morning Britain to issue a stark warning to the thieves who raised his St Tropez villa over the summer.

Recalling the terrifying moment the robbers ransacked the home while he and his wife slept, Piers vowed to catch those two stole from him.

Turning to his GMB co-host Susanna Reid, Piers fumed: “Disgusting scumbag burglars creeping around my bedroom in the middle of the night.

“And yes, I’m going to find you. It will make Taken look like a tea party.

“I’m serious. I’m going to find you.

“Me and the flying squad detectives we’re on to you.”

Going into detail about the raid, Piers continued: “Other than that it [ the holiday ] was fine and then I got burgled on my last night.

“Bunch of thieves in the house… in the bedroom. In the bedroom as we slept.

“Nicking my wife’s bag, took all her jewellery. Took all her cash.

Explaining how he thinks the incident is part of a string of robberies across the South of France, the former newspaper editor added: “It is very interesting.

“A flying squad London detective contacted me and some of his family have been robbed in Cannes in the same week and he thinks maybe it is the same gang.

“He said in that case they put gas in the air conditioning and that knocked everyone out abut there was a three month years old baby in the home.”

After reports broke earlier that Piers’ home was broken into, the outspoken host says countless stars reached out to him with similar stories.

“Robbie [Williams] says he won’t go down there any more,” Piers added.

“Really quite a lot of people saying they wont go down there.

“I remember a drone went over us. I think they were working out who was in the villas and where to go.”
