Good Morning Britain fans baffled after live TV fail sparks Dr Who riddle

Good Morning Britain fans were left mocking the show online after an apparent live TV error.

During Friday’s edition of GMB, Ben Shepherd and Charlotte Hawkins interviewed former NHS doctor Dominic Pimenta.

The medic quit the health system after government advisor Dominic Cummings was found to have broken the lockdown rules.

Despite serious pressure from the public, Cummings refused to either apologise or stand down from his position.

The doc has written book Duty Of Care about the pressure on the NHS with all royalties from the book going to charities HEROS.

As Pimento opened up to the TV duo about why he called it quits, the GMB headline ticker tape appeared on the screen with an awkward formatting error.

The headline read: “Dr Who Quit Over Cummings.”

Due to the fact the headline was written in capitals, viewers were confused that the segment wasn’t about time travelling time-lord Dr Who.

Twitter was quickly flooded with posts from baffle and amused fans alike all trying to work out if the headline was simply an awkward choice of words or perhaps meant something more.

One fan mocked: “Looks like regeneration has happened already then.”

Another added: “Forgot the Cyborgs and Daleks, this was the final straw.”

“Anyone else thought Dr Who had let himself go for a sec?” a third teased.

Meanwhile, a fourth tweeted: “Who is this doctor?

“Actually thought his name was Dr Who.

“We need doctors, so…he quits? But he may go back. Oh. He has a book and works at/runs a charity.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
