Britain’s Got Talent is facing a potential Ofcom probe after almost 100 people called the TV watchdog to complain about contestant Allan Finnegan.
The backlash comes after almost 25,000 people complained about Diversity’s Black Lives Matter themed performance.
The comic vicar, who performs in his full clerical clothing, has ruffled feathers thanks to his dark jokes.
During his performance Allan joked about death – which have been branded “tasteless” by some.
His set on the semi finals saw the 52-year-old make light of funerals and dead people.
One gag saw him joke about forgetting the name of the person who had died at a funeral he was presiding over.

The Scouse star said: “I forgot to put the deceased’s name down on my notes, I think it’s Hilda but I can’t be sure, the next minute it feels like a game of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
“I’d have loved to have gone 50/50 or phone a friend – I am just glad it wasn’t Deal Or No Deal, I wasn’t going to open that box for no offer.”
A second joke saw him joke about his uncle dying – claiming it saved him money in the Secret Santa raffle that year.

The comedian said: “Just before Christmas my only uncle passed away, God rest his soul and well… I had him in the Secret Santa so every cloud, saved me 20 quid that did.”
In a statement to Daily Star Online Ofcom said: “I can confirm that we have received 90 complaints regarding this act on Britain’s Got Talent, 12 September.”
When the act was aired on ITV, viewers quickly took to Twitter at the time to moan about the gags.
One viewer wrote: “Don’t find joking about death funny and especially in the current time.”
Another added: “#BGT awkward as hell and not at all funny, a “comedian” joking about death in the current pandemic where so many people have lost loved ones.”
A rep for Britain’s Got Talent has been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment.
