Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon was forced to brush off a dig from co-star David Walliams during the latest instalment of the ITV competition.
The Little Britain star joked that Alesha had drunk too much before the show amid rumours of backstage tension between the pair.
Alesha and David were back on our screens tonight alongside Amanda Holden and Ashley Banjo, who is currently filling in for boss Simon Cowell, to offer their verdict on the third batch of semi-finalists.
Drag act Myra Dubois, magician Magical Bones, string group Ember Trio, choir Sign Along With Us, Dario the dinosaur, singer Sirine Jahangir, dancers X1X Crew and singer Bhim Niroula all competed to go through to the next stage for the chance to make it to the Royal Variety Performance.

Things got off to an awkward start when David made a cheeky joke towards his fellow judge.
Host Declan Donnelly asked Alesha: “Alesha, a lot of acts… a lot at stake for them isn’t it?”
Laughing and not quite knowing what to say, Alesha responded: “Ooh Dec, there’s a lot at stake.”

“Thank you for reiterating what I just said,” Dec joked back.
But David interjected saying: “I always think it’s a mistake to drink a bottle of wine before you appear on television.
“Just have a glass! A glass next time, yeah?”
Things between the pair reportedly got heated backstage after Alesha mentioned David’s Little Britain past, in which he used blackface and has since apologised for.

A source told The Sun: “It kicked off after the deliberation stages of putting one of the acts into the final.
“When the artist who Alesha had backed got through she basically turned to David and said, ‘Well that’s payback for all your inappropriate Little Britain antics’.
“It was quite catty, although Alesha later insisted she was only joking. But David was stunned.
“Obviously he is not racist or homophobic, or anything-phobic in the slightest — he was upset.”
The insider added that words had been “exchanged” and that the rest of filming was very awkward afterwards.
Britain’s Got Talent airs Saturdays at 8pm on ITV
