Great British Bake Off fans will have to wait a little longer for the new series to kick off due to the on going coronavirus pandemic.
The hit cookery programme was intially billed to start at 8pm tonight on Channel 4.
However, in a late minute shake-up of the TV schedule the programme will no longer air as planned due to the decision by Boris Johnson to place the UK under new social distancing measures.
Keen to curb a second spike in the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Johnson will announce his new laws in a televised speech.
The PM’s address to the nation will be broadcast at 8pm pushing Bake Off back until 8.15pm.

Boris Johnson will announce a string of measures, which will come into effect within the next seven days.
As well as the government’s mantra of going back to work being replaced with “working at home if you can”, the PM will enforce a new 10pm curfew for hospitality venues.
From 10pm on Thursday all venues must close their doors – and not just for last orders.
Meanwhile, all pubs will legally only be able to offer table service.

On top of that, retail staff & taxi customers must wear masks at all times.
As of Monday, weddings must be cut back down to 15 people, while funerals can only see 30 guests in attendance.
Speaking earlier on Tuesday in the House of Commons, Boris said the measures could be in place for up to six months..
This year’s Great British Bake Off is the first with Little Britain comedian Matt Lucas as a co-host.
He will join Noel Fielding to present the show from the iconic Big White Ten.
Meanwhile, judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will return to critique the bakes.
