Piers Morgan has lashed out at Donald Trump for breaking coronavirus quarantine to meet his fans.
The President of the United States was admitted to hospital over the weekend after testing positive for coronavirus.
It comes after he spent months vilifying masks and recently poking fun at political rival Joe Biden for wearing face protection during their debate.
Trump, 74, left his hospital bed on Sunday to go for a drive so he could wave to his adoring fans outside despite having “severe Covid-19 symptoms”.
Outspoken Piers, 55, has taken to his Daily Mail column to ask “What the f**k” was he thinking?” as Trump potentially put the lives of everyone in the car with him at risk as he went against medical advice to leave the hospital.

The Good Morning Britain host penned: “When I woke up in the UK to this news, I audibly groaned and uttered a profanity.
“‘What the F**k was he thinking?,’ I muttered.
“The answer is sadly obvious: he was thinking, once again, only of himself.”
Piers went on to say that he believes that Trump broke the rules in a bid to please his fans as there are just 30 days until the US election.

Trump’s Democrat opponent Joe Biden is currently leading in the polls.
The President has been a coronavirus sceptic, refusing to believe how serious the worldwide pandemic was, despite 200,000 people dying from the virus in the US alone.
Piers said: “Trump knows he’s in desperate trouble with his election campaign.
“It was just a shameless and shameful PR move to show everyone he’s ‘winning’ against the virus.”

Trump’s controversial actions come after he said he was taking the global pandemic seriously.
He said: “I learned a lot about Covid. I learned it by really going to school. This is the real school. This isn’t the ‘let’s read the books’ school.
“And I get it, and I understand it, and it’s a very interesting thing, and I’m going to be letting you know about it.”
Piers is not the only breakfast telly star to hit out at Trump.
ITV health expert Dr Hilary appeared on Lorraine on Monday to give his thoughts on Trump and the doctor had a few things to say about the president.
Dr Hilary told Lorraine: “To come out, having tested positive and being in hospital to then get in a car with somebody else is just ridiculous.
“It is the wrong example to set to anybody else in the world.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
