Happy Mondays’ Bez gets high and does some Freaky Dancin’ on the top of a plane.
The maracas-shaking rocker, 56, took to the skies on the wing of a biplane and looped the loop to raise money for mental health music charity Tonic.
The Pills, Thrills And Bellyaches star – famous for his drug-taking – said: “I thought I’ve been flying before… that was proper flying. I tried not to hold on but then I ended up holding on for dear life. There were some hairy moments when you are doing a nose dive with the loop the loop.”
He added: “Some of the members in the band have had problems, so this means a lot to do it for this charity.”
The Madchester icon admitted he is a “daredevil” and claimed: “The only thing I wouldn’t do is wear Lycra.”

This week Bez will write to Prime Minister Boris Johnson to complain about musicians, actors and artists not being allowed to work or furlough during the coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “We’ve had to cancel the work, now they want us to claim bloody benefits. We’ve cancelled work until January and there is no end in sight. It’s probably going to keep on going.
“I don’t think we should be forced to have to sign on when we could be working. I think we should carry on being supported by the Government.
“Eventually I’m going to run out of money. And I don’t think I should suffer that indignity.”
