GMB weather girl Lucy Verasamy wows in figure-hugging silk blouse on ITV

GMB weather expert Lucy Verasamy predicted chilly temperatures during Tuesday’s ITV report, with rainfall and fog awaiting the nation.

Despite the poor weather, the 40-year-old meteorologist was a ray of sunshine in the ITV studios, oozing glamour in a pearly silk blouse.

Complete with rolled-up sleeves, an unbuttoned collar, and wide lapels, the over-sized shirt hung from her frame as she gestured to the green screen behind her.

Lucy paired the shirt with a fitted black pencil skirt, opting to go without accessories as she predicted blustery chills for the week ahead.

Her brunette locks styled in gentle waves, the ITV star let her hair fall to her shoulders, with choppy layers framing her face.

By way of makeup, Lucy added a slick of mascara to her lashes, and highlighted her high cheekbones with a sweep of rouge.

Warning the nation, she explained there was “a chilly theme as the week wears on”.

She continued: “Some cold and foggy nights, by day the sunshine is set to return but with a fair few blustery showers.”

Having left Sky for ITV a decade ago, Lucy has been a beloved fixture on the network for the past 10 years, regularly presenting segments on GMB and ITV News.

The weather forecaster was due to team up with another powerhouse in ITV earlier this year, filming a programme with Phillip Schofield in the early springtime.

A spin-off of Phil’s annual How To Spend It Well At Christmas series, the show was due to be titled How To Spend It Well On Holiday.

Spanning four episodes, the series was to see Lucy and Phil interview a range of celebrity guests on the subject of money-saving hacks for travelling the globe.

Teasing the production, she told fans at the time: “Fun Friday filming in the weather studio with @schofe: all will be revealed in the spring.”

Unfortunately, the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March meant the production was suspended until further notice.

Responding to the changing situation in the UK, ITV removed the show from its original 8.30pm slot and placed Griff’s Great Australian Adventure into the timeslot instead.
