Kate Garraway was forced to apologise to viewers during the latest instalment of Good Morning Britain on Friday.
The 53-year-old presenter seemingly “broke the rules” by looking at her mobile phone whilst hosting the ITV breakfast show.
Kate was joined by Charlotte Hawkins, 45, and the pair discussed the latest coronavirus news, including the restrictions being imposed on bars within Parliament to combat the spread of the killer bug.
Kate went on to do more research on her phone but was caught out and had to issue an apology.

The hosts had been speaking to reporter Jonathan Swain about the measures implemented by the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
Unfortunately, the political journalist didn’t know if this was a first for Parliament, but Kate was eager to find out.
Whilst the camera wasn’t on her, the former I’m A Celebrity contestant got her phone out and started to scroll away to discover if this was a historic moment.
However, when the screen returned to Kate and Charlotte, the mother-of-two was left rather red-faced as she had “broken studio rules” by being on the technical device live on air.

Realising she was in the wrong, the broadcaster swiftly put down her phone and said “sorry” to viewers watching at home.
Elsewhere in the show, Charlotte opened up about her time in lockdown.
Opening up to Kate, Charlotte said: “The alarm clock hasn’t been going off at 2.45am so it’s been nice to have a lay in.
“It’s this job though, you still get up at 6am but you wake up and tune in.

“I was dreaming about being on a sunny beach in another life but in reality I was painting the garage door.”
On Thursday’s show, Kate gave an important update on the heath of her husband Derek Draper.
The 53-year-old was hospitalised in March this year after contracting a strong strain of Covid-19.
Despite now being Covid free, Derek is still in hospital, fighting to recover from the damage the virus has caused to his body.
Kate said: “Derek is stable but actually, in between when I am not talking to you, there are small ups and worrying downs.
“Actually, the last few days have been pretty stable so I’m keeping everything crossed really.
“It is though, it is hard.”
